6 DoF or Volumetric Environments: The Next Level of Photorealistic Virtual Reality

Six Degrees of Freedom (6 DoF) allow users to have complete freedom of navigation, so instead of seeing VR from a single point of view, they can walk or fly around their 3D environment without restrictions. This is one example of the technology, which can reach users from Head-Mounted Displays (like the Oculus Quest 2) to desktop and laptop computers, and smartphones.
